(Source: Wikipedia, updated 11/25/13) Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philipines was the strongest storm to ever make landfall, and the 4th strongest storm on record with sustained wind speeds of 315 km/h (196 mph), surpassing Hurricane Camille in 1969. Currently about 33,000 people are dead, injured or missing with an estimated 512 million in damages. Rumors state that as many as 4 million people are displaced.
